HeadFirst has won the tender for the temporary hiring of IT professionals for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) and the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). HeadFirst is one of the selected partners, continuing its existing partnership.

The new framework agreement has a maximum term of four years and covers the temporary deployment of IT professionals across a broad range of specialist areas. Throughout the agreement, specific requests will be submitted to the seven selected parties through mini-competitions.

Building on a proven partnership

For HeadFirst, the award marks a continuation of its longstanding partnership with VWS and SZW. Over the years, HeadFirst has developed extensive knowledge of these organisations, their staffing needs and the expertise required to support digital projects and programmes.

Jamie Heringa, Sector Director Central Government at HeadFirst, comments: “Being selected again is a strong confirmation of the trust we have built together over the past few years. Demand for specialist IT expertise is changing rapidly, and skilled professionals are in short supply. Our role therefore goes beyond finding a professional for a specific request. It is about understanding the expertise required, knowing what is available in the market and helping clients bring supply and demand together as effectively as possible. We are proud to continue fulfilling this role over the coming years.”

Specialist IT expertise is becoming increasingly important

The need for specialist IT expertise across the organisations involved remains high. At VWS, this includes information security, information management and IT expertise for various digital projects and programmes. Major digital developments are also underway at organisations such as RIVM, CBG and CIBG. At SZW, key priorities include system modernisation and the growing need for information-driven and data-driven working, AI and data science.

In a tight labour market, meeting these needs requires more than access to a large network. HeadFirst combines market knowledge with labour market and staffing data to provide insight into the availability of different IT profiles and the feasibility of recruiting them. This enables organisations to anticipate future needs and the availability of specialist expertise at an earlier stage.

This approach has proven its value throughout the existing partnership. Through the new framework agreement, HeadFirst builds on this proven collaboration, aiming to provide VWS, SZW and the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) with access to the specialist IT expertise they need in the years ahead.
